Fascinating to read 8 months later in the time of coronavirus and border closures to US passport holders like me. As a white traveler, I do struggle with the utter privilege I have to cross borders for pleasure while a billion people only cross borders as refugees of violence or climate change.

And now that borders have rightfully slammed shut to us infected Americans, it's notable and sad that we CAN get into countries that are desperate for tourist dollars.
